hey everyone,

ok this is the toughest decision in my basketball career. i play for 2 age groups- under 19's boys( hav to be 18 yrs and under) and senior mens (full of 24-35 yr old rep players). they are both the same team name coz theyre under the same association but different age groups. im 18 btw. every year before christmas for 4 days theres a competition between a few different associations, like a gala day but more serious. ive been training 2 days and play 1 game a week for seniors and i train twice a week and play one game with under19's. they both want me to play for their team. if i dont play for under 19 then they will hav no chance of winning since im their only centre and they only hav 8 players, but seniors hav 12 players and i play small forward in their team. they only want me mainly coz if someone gets injured then i can replace em. now this wouldve been an easier choice to make if i could play for both teams but i dont see that happening since the game times will more than likely be at the same time. the ppl in the under19 team hav been my friends since i was 8 and we've been in the same team the whole time-thats the main reason i wanna play under 19 for the last time ever with my friends, the senior mens' coach is one ass of a coach to try to make him understand. he just wants the best players in his team. i know that if i play seniors im gonna get like 3 mins court time coz of the better option of player choice in that team, but in 19's ill play the whole game and ill get to dunk over my arch nemesis :P. so wat im asking to all of u is wat should i do??? thanks to everyone that replies.

stick with your friends and flip off the ass of a coach.

Seriously, it looks as if you've answered your own question. You make plenty of strong cases to play with the younger team. Given the circumstances I would play with the younger team because 1: They're your friends and apparently have been for awhile, 2: You'll get more court time, and 3: You won't get anymore chances to play with them while you should get more chances to play with the senior team. That's my take on the situation, I hope it helps you some.

im 14 5" 7 and i average 18.6 and 3 [assists] on my team.
i play like every day of my life
but heres my answer.
GO with the 19 and under
1. Theyre ur friends
2. U can yolk on all the under 19 year olds
3. If ur as tall as i think u are, i would play with the 19 and under just for denials [super blocks].
4. U play the whole game

Seriously how tall are you?
I am 14 and 6'1"

I think you should go with the younger team
a)Dont have a big chance of winning without you
b)Seniors will give you no minutes of play time (5 if you are lucky)
c)You get to dunk over your nemesis

d) 12 people w/center and small forward=seniors team=very small chance for you to play
8 people w/o center=young team=a lot of play time for you

im 18 and 6' 4". the main reason y this is a hard choice is trying to get that coach to understand. thanks for all ur opinions, i was always leaning towards playing for the 19's just coz its my final chance ever to play with that exact team and to dunk over my nemesis :P.

I am also a basketball fanatic, and am the #1 gr.9 pointguard in Ontario. This year I was leaning towards playing Senior Ball. My mom was all for it, but my dad wasnt. He told me I would have more fun scoring lots of points playing junior then i would playing senior.

In the end I stuck with Junior and boy was it the right thing to do.

I also have a nemesis; a basketball coach who told me I wasnt very good. It just so happened that he coached a local high school teamm that I played against last week. Eventhough we lost the game it was a great feeling to know that I showed him up.
